Sensor Access Technology, established in 1999, has emerged as one of the UK's premier suppliers of integrated access control systems and locking hardware. With nearly two and a half decades of experience, they offer an extensive array of readers including smart cards, UHF, and biometric readers, along with a diverse range of controllers and software packages.
Sensor Access and DOM became integrated in a UK led partnership in 2023. This integration has led to seamless operation between Sensor's GuardPoint10 software and DOM UK's wireless hardware solution. Notably, the integration ensures that when a card is enrolled via a desktop reader, it becomes immediately operational for accessing doors through the DOM UK wireless hardware solution.
GuardPoint 10 stands as Sensor's robust and modern software platform, catering to various project sizes, from small businesses to global enterprises. GuardPoint 10 offers an elegant and operator-friendly solution, supported on Windows 11 and seamlessly integrating with Windows Active Directory.
At The Security Event 2022, DOM UK and Sensor Access teamed up to showcase the strength of their DOMConnect integration. We had the chance to talk to Andy Slater, the Operations Director at Sensor Access, about how their systems seamlessly work together and the partnership between Sensor Access and DOM UK.
How long have you been working with DOM UK?
“We have been working with DOM UK since 2021, which was the start of our Partnership which then led to Full Integrations with DOM UK products.”
Who is your DOM UK contact and how long have you been dealing with them?
“Owen Boothby, National Sales Manager. I have been dealing with Owen right from the beginning in 2021.”
What are the benefits of a Sensor Access / DOM integration for the customer?
“The benefits of the Integration are many but, mainly, it is about creating a Single Platform for Access Control and Wireless Locking providing ease of use for the users and cost savings over wired locking.”
What sectors is a Sensor Access / DOM UK integration used?
“The sectors where we find the most projects are Universities, Schools, Offices, Residential, Healthcare and Retirement Homes.”
What will you be showcasing at the upcoming Security Event 2024 at the NEC Birmingham?
“We will be showcasing our DOM UK Integration, highlighting the ease of use and flexibility with our GuardPoint 10 Platform.”
