At DOM UK we believe that our employees must be safe, enjoy a healthy working environment, use modern technology and have easy access to training for personal development. This mind-set allows us to encourage and support career growth, opportunities and upwards mobility within the SFPI group.
We see people as an investment, which is advantageous, as this in-turn leads to a higher level of service that we can then pass on to our customers, giving them the level of customer experience that they expect from DOM.
One of key ways we invest in people is by offering apprenticeships, both in the offices and in the manufacturing area. DOM UK has a long history in supporting the local community by employing young people, kick starting their careers by gaining knowledge from their colleagues and learning transferable skills which will set them up for life.
“I am a strong believer in the apprenticeship scheme" comments DOM UK Operations Director Lyn Dyson, "it is an effective way to develop young people by transference of skills from existing employees, introducing young talent into the workplace can bring a new perspective fresh ideas and they become the skilled workers of the future.”
Two success stories of recent times are apprentices Bradley and Alex. Bradley has recently joined us here at DOM UK and is already making fantastic progress, whereas Alex who has recently passed the four-year mark is now a key member of the warehouse team, take a look at their profiles below.
