Since October 2020 AC Leigh has been involved in the DOM Keystone partner program. A program which aims to give approved DOM suppliers exclusive access to dedicated business support on every level and put them on the front line of DOM’s latest innovations and developments.

We spoke to Masterkey Department Manager, Scott Didwell about AC Leigh’s current relationship with DOM UK and what the future holds for the two companies.

Who is your DOM UK Sales Manager and how long have you been working with them?
“I have been working with Lloyd Chitty, DOM UK Sales & Marketing Director for coming up to 10 years, Lloyd offers relevant information when we are specifying projects and together we have worked on expanding the DOM product ranges that AC Leigh can offer the customer.”

How do you find working with DOM UK customer services?
“Much like Lloyd I have been working with Customer Services Team Leader Emma Chapman for many years, I find the overall customer service experience at DOM very good, Emma provides all of the information that we require to correctly place an order. We receive weekly/bi-weekly orders from DOM UK, which generally arrive on time, any issues which occasionally arise Emma and the Team quickly rectify to keep a project on track.”

What sectors do you supply with DOM UK systems?
“Over the years we have supplied countless projects in a wide range of sectors. Most commonly we use DOM cylinder systems in healthcare environments such as hospitals and GP practises and in education environments such as schools, colleges and universities.”

What DOM products do you use?
“We most commonly specify DOM’s Sigma Plus cylinders as part of a masterkey system. We do this because it is a secure and reliable system with clear security benefits and is fairly priced against other options in the market. As a ‘Dealer Profile’ Sigma Plus allows us to pin cylinders and cut keys in house, this allows us to offer next day service to our customers.”
“We also stock the DOM Titan Cylinder range to provide customers with a highly durable, corrosion resistant, BSI one-star standard cylinder for a budget price.”

Why do you use DOM products over our competitors?
“Service, reliability and price has led to us using DOM products for so many years”
“The size of the DOM sales and customer services team is perfect for when we require information quickly, the streamlined operation ensures we can always contact someone regarding our order.”

Do you currently use DOM eNET?
“Yes, we have been using the DOM eNet since its initial launch, it is an easy to use ecommerce platform that helps us to place orders whenever we require them. I regularly send feedback to DOM which has been taken on-board and implemented which has made the order platform function even better. We are glad that component orders have now been added to the system as this will assist us to assemble orders, and build DOM systems in house.”

Are there any projects that you are looking to supply DOM products on over the next 12 months?
“Over the coming months we have multiple sheltered housing and university projects which will require a high-security masterkey system, the perfect job for DOM projects.”
