Last month, DOM Business Unit Industry colleagues from across Europe gathered in Birmingham, England for their team meeting hosted by DOM UK.
The meeting provided a forum for sharing the latest innovative projects and product strategies in development.
Numerous product lines were reviewed by the team, including the successful Ultra-Track lock system, which has potential applications beyond its current use for heavy-duty storage needs in industries such as shipping, healthcare, aircraft and the military. They also discussed innovation for the gambling machine sector by presenting a mechatronic lock with integrated Bluetooth access control functionality - a major 8-year development effort. The new keyhead design from DOM's Ronis division was also previewed along with future opportunities for combination locks, digital furniture locks and RFID lock solutions.
A highlight was the in-depth tour of the DOM UK manufacturing facility, including a session led by Ultra-Track Specialist Vinroy. He showcased the dedicated craftsmanship and expertise behind producing DOM's high-quality products.
Beyond product specifics, the team explored ways how diverse product lines and markets could intersect to create new sales opportunities across business units. They also reviewed the roll out of products on the PIM and the ENet ordering system.
The group took a break from meetings with an evening tour of the Black Country Living Museum, experiencing a historical preservation of the industrial renaissance that put the region at the forefront of manufacturing.
