MyFysioYourGym Sportzaal

MyFysioYourGym in Teteringen, Brabant, offers multidisciplinary care and is a Physiotherapy Practice with a Unique Sports Concept that guides people towards a long-term healthy lifestyle. In order to give clients every freedom of movement and optimally manage access to the physiotherapists' treatment rooms, the MyFysioYourGym team uses the ENiQ® access control App. Smart and user-friendly access control for SMEs via the ENiQ® App on the mobile phone combined with tags, digital keys and electronic door hardware.

After entering MyFysioYourGym, visitors are welcomed at the reception desk. On the left, patients can go to the waiting room and four physiotherapy treatment rooms. To the right is the gymnasium containing the various machines on which athletes work up a sweat under the guidance of fit coaches. "YourGym offers a supervised sports programme and connects well with MyFysio. We want to move towards a total package which, besides treating complaints and exercise, focuses on healthy living. That is why in May we are also adding YourLifestyle to our concept," says Bianca Huijbregts. She moved from the old, rented practice location to the new premises of her own in May 2022.

Security of belongings and patient data

The combination of the physiotherapy practice and a unique sports concept offers advantages and challenges at the same time. Huijbregts: "Our physiotherapists can easily take a patient to the sports room after treatment to do extra exercises. But in doing so, it is important that the treatment room is easily and securely locked and no one has access to the personal data and belongings of the patient and staff."

No complicated and expensive software package

Through hardware dealer Voskamp, Huijbregts came into contact with DOM Netherlands. "They listened carefully to my needs and recommended working with the ENiQ® App. It really is a great solution for SME entrepreneurs like me. No complicated software packages, but an app with which I can assign access rights (digital keys) and which also clearly registers who has been in which room and when. And in combination with the stylish black electronic Guard door hardware, it fits in seamlessly with the interior of our practice," says Huijbregts.
That combination makes the digital access control system ideally suited to small and medium-sized enterprises, according to Marcel Boel, Sales Manager Digital Access Control at DOM Netherlands. "The days when good digital access control always required complicated software packages are behind us. The ENiQ® App allows entrepreneurs to remotely send and revoke digital keys quickly and via their mobile phone. In addition, the use of tags can also be chosen''.

Combination mobile key and tag

Huijbregts initially chose the latter option. "Our physiotherapists do not always have their phones in their pockets during work. If they can only unlock the door with their mobile phone, it is not convenient. They have the tag quickly to hand so they can hold it in front of the door handle, after which they can re-enter."
Boel adds that a combination of both digital keys and tags is also an option within the ENiQ® App. "If a colleague forgets the tag once or accidentally leaves it in the treatment room, there is always an alternative. The app offers the possibility to grant people both a mobile key and a tag."

Office function on doors

Huijbregts is very pleased with the functional ease of the access control system. "We work with a so-called office function, the physiotherapist opens the treatment room after presenting the tag or digital key after which the door handle remains operable. This is also the case during treatment and ensures that in case of an emergency, the room can be freely entered to provide assistance. When leaving the room (to do exercises in the sports room, for example), after presenting the tag or digital key, the door is automatically closed to unauthorised users. When leaving the room, the door falls into the lock upon closing and is then immediately locked. This means for colleagues that they do not have to lock the door first when taking a patient to the gym for exercises." Especially since the physiotherapy practice is also open in the evenings, Huijbregts attaches great importance to this security. "Then there is hardly any supervision on our side while during those very hours the gym is very busy. I don't want to risk patients' and colleagues' belongings being left unattended in our rooms then."

No expensive wiring required

The black electronic Guard hardware that sits on the doors of the treatment rooms and staff room is battery-operated. "This is a real plus, as no cables need to be laid. The door hardware can therefore be easily mounted. That also makes the system user-friendly for me as the owner of the building," says Huijbregts. Boel adds that the user does not need any additional equipment to operate the electronic door hardware with a mobile key The access rights are securely stored in the DOM Key app on the smartphone and via NFC or Bluetooth Low Energy you can easily open the door That too makes this access control system eminently suitable for SMEs."
