General

Please read "Manual of Signalisation" document to know the different signals of your device.

You can distinguish the products by showing the transponder to the devices.

You need to uncouple the device before performing this operation.

If you show an ENiQ transponder to the device, it signals as follows:

1. ENiQ Pro V2 (BLE): green - light blue - green - light blue.

2. ENiQ Pro V1 (RF): dark blue - dark blue - dark blue.

Emergency exit (EE) means that this cylinder has a spring in the body which always resets the locking to 0 degree so the lock won't block. This cylinder is mostly used for doors with push bars, per DIN EN 179 and 1125.

Installation

Please note that you need to uncouple the device before replacing.
Please see "How can I reset the product with a Mastercard" section.

Once the device is reset, perform the following steps:
1. Remove the knob cap using the knob tool and unlock the knob.
2. Carefully pull off the knob cap by supporting 2 fingers against the door leaf so it won't have too much momentum while removing it.
3. Remove the old battery by pushing it out with the back of the knob tool.
4. Disconnect the battery connector.
5. Remove the retaining forks by pushing it out carefully from the opposite side of the battery compartment.
6. Remove the device without force.

4. Disconnect the battery connector.

5. Remove the retaining fork by pushing it out carefully from the opposite side of the battery compartment.

6. Now the device can be pulled off without force. Note: If you want to replace the device's body, please reset the device in mounted state (see: Resetting with Master Card).

For subsequent assembly, carry out the previous steps in reverse order of disassembly.

Maintenance

To perform this action, you need ENiQ App on an Android phone. Update the firmware by following the steps in the app.

The device must be set to inactive (set it from "Status" in "General" tab) so you can enter the new serial number for the new ELS Pro. After you confirm the change, the software will automatically recognise the new cylinder.

Programming methods depend on what device you use. Please consult your dealer to get personalised programming or to know more information about this.

Operating

It depends on your smartphone and your surroundings. As a rule of thumb, the reliable benchmark for minimum distance is 10 meters.

1. Dismantle the knob cap.

2. Unplug the battery.

3. Place your master card in front of the cylinder.

4. Insert the battery and wait until the cylinder light flashes red and green.

5. Remove the battery.

6. Remove the cylinder from the master card.

7. Insert battery again. The cylinder will flash dark blue light when a transponder is present.

1. Show the master card to the cylinder three times. On the third time, leave the master card in front of the reading field of the cylinder.

2. Wait for 8 to 10 seconds, then wait for flashing LED.

3. Remove the master card from the cylinder. The cylinder will now flash blue light when a transponder is present.

Please note that you need to uncouple the device before replacing. Please see "How can I reset the product with a Mastercard" section.

Once the device is resetted, perform the following steps:

Now you can replace ELS with ENiQ knob.

Normally, a cylinder recognises battery change automatically. If this is not the case, use a battery change card. This resets the battery parameter in the cylinder.

If the light is blue/turquoise, it means the device is in the safety circuit. Here are some possible causes:

1. During installation of the master card, the devices were not connected to the coupling shaft. This cause failure in the information exchange.

2. During disassembly of the devices, the battery was not removed. Therefore, the device loses its' connection to the safety circuit and concludes this as a manipulation attempt.

To reset, the device needs to be returned to the factory. Please contact your dealer for more information.

Troubleshooting

If your smartphone cannot open your cylinder, this may be due to following reasons:

1. Flat battery: Please replace the battery with fresh batteries (please check the instructions to see which battery is recommended for your product).

2. Damaged antenna: Remove the knob cap and test if you can see any mechanical damage to the antenna (front circuit board).

3. If number 1 and 2 works well and the cylinder responds to a tag, please check your smartphone setting or restart your phone.

If your tags cannot open a cylinder, it might happen because of a flat battery.

First, replace the battery, and with the knob cap removed, see if you can detect mechanical damage on the antenna (the front circuit board). If the cylinder still does not respond to tags with fresh batteries, please contact your dealer to conduct further analysis.
