Excellence Backed by Trusted Safety Certifications

At our core, we believe in going beyond the standard requirements to deliver unmatched security. By voluntarily certifying our solutions through independent organizations, we ensure they meet and exceed the highest industry standards. These certifications are a testament to our commitment to quality, reliability, and the peace of mind our clients deserve.

Each of our certifications underscores a commitment to safety, quality, and performance across our product range

Fire resistance

Certifire is an independent third-party certification that assures performance, quality, reliability and traceability of products and systems. The Certifire brand is recognized by regulatory authorities worldwide as an international mark of fire safety across a diverse range of products including hardware.

Building sector products

The SKG certification is a Dutch standard that tests the security of products  used in the real estate and building sector. This independent body classifies the strength and durability of mounting fittings, locks, and latches, giving homeowners and businesses added assurance.

Apartment doors

A2P is a French certification that rigorously tests products such as locks, safes, and security systems for their resistance to intrusion. Administered by CNPP, this certification is a benchmark for reliability and high-performance security.

Comprehensive certificate

The VdS certification is a German standard recognized internationally for testing fire protection, security, and natural disaster prevention. Products bearing the VdS mark have undergone a comprehensive evaluation process, ensuring compliance with top-tier safety and quality standards.

UK Market certification

The Kitemark, administered by BSI, is a symbol of trust and quality for a wide range of products, including security solutions. Known for its rigorous testing protocols, the Kitemark certifies that products consistently meet or exceed British and international standards.

Most tests only ask whether a product is fire resistant or not during testing. However, Certifire brings the heat by testing the products in a real-life scenario and with real doors. The level of fire resistance by Warrington varies from 60 minutes to 240 minutes.

As one of the big players in the locking industry, DOM Security has several products with Certifire certification, most of them are locks, panic hardwares, and door closers. These products have been tested with real doors and passed Certifire's fire resistance tests with strength differs up to 240 minutes.

SKG's star benchmark ranges from one star to three star certification. Products with the checkmark SKG can be used as supplementary security and will offer protection against burglars when used together with SKG two or three star quality mark. Products with one star SKG are not burglar resistant. These products need to be used in combination with at least one other product with equivalent or strongercertification. Products with two-star SKG certification, such as locks and hinges, can be used autonomously. This certification ensures that burglar penetration will be delayed by at least three minutes. Three-star SKG products are more burglar-resistant and are a sign that the product can delay an attempted burglary for at least five minutes.

At DOM Security, we strive to achieve every certification for our products, whether it be an internationally recognised or locally recognised certification. Products such as our reversible cylinders or other mechanical keys and cylinders have passed and are certified with SKG certification, making them usable in real estate and other buildings.

A2P certification helps companies to choose products that have passed tests against breaking and entering. The certification is most often given to mortise locks (purchased by carpenters) and rim locks (purchased by locksmiths, mostly for renovations). A2P certification has three levels of grading: from one star to three stars. The higher the level, the longer it can withstand breaking attempts. Locks graded with one-star certification can resist an attempted break-in for up to 5 minutes. Locks with two-star certification can hold for up to 10 minutes, and the highest-grade locks can hold up to 15 minutes. To achieve two and three-star A2P certification, companies must provide detailed information about the tested product. CNPP (the board that issues A2P certificates) will then test the weak points of the lock, such as striking plates and cylinders, with more demanding benchmarks compared to one-star A2P certification testing. Unlike SKG and EN certification which only uses machines to test the products, A2P certification uses human testers to check for potential weak points and real-life scenarios.

A2P-certified locks are most suitable for apartment unit doors. There are a number of reasons why A2P-certified locks are better products when compared to locks with no A2P certification. Extra security: A2P certification use humans as the testers, not only machines. Therefore, we can see the most humanistic possibility of testing and breaking attempts. Always evolving: A2P certification expires every 5 years. At this point, the product needs to be reassessed for its quality against break-in attempts with newer or more complicated tools. Having an A2P-certified lock will assure apartment building owners that their locks are ideal for resisting breaking and entering attempts by burglars.

The VdS certification is a comprehensive process including risk assessments, on-site inspection, certification of products, as well as comprehensive training. A VdS certification mark therefore generates confidence and documents the high reliability of the marked products.

All certifications in one: while VdS-marked products create a sense of heightened security, through this organisation, companies can also be issued an EC conformity certificate for construction products and be certified for conformity according to national and international standards such as EN, ISO, IEC, etc. Sustainable knowledge: companies with VdS certification will constantly update their products through joining VdS training courses and conferences. Therefore, having a product marked with a VdS certificate ensures that your company will have products that are not only sustainable but also delivered with continuous innovation.

As a provider of digital and mechanical security systems, DOM Security products are certified with VdS, such as our mechanical cylinders and our digital locking system applications. This process builds trust with our customers and demonstrates the high reliability of our solutions.

BSI Kitemark certification schemes include products in diverse industries, such as automotive, construction, digital and IoT, even in the food and personal protective equipment (PPE) industry. BSI owns and operates the BSI Kitemark, which is a registered trademark, and one of the most well-known emblems of quality and safety on the UK market.

Risk reduction, greater customer satisfaction, and access to new consumers throughout the world are all advantages of BSI certification (accredited by the UK government national accreditation body, UKAS). It provides genuine value to customers, businesses, and procurement processes.
