Welcome to the group - MCM

On 26th May 2015, SECURIDEV, affiliate of the Group SFPI, acquired 97,47 % of the shares of the Spanish company MCM (Metalurgica Cerrajera de Mondragon) situated in Vitoria in the Spanish Basque region.

MCM was founded in 1936 and is a major player in the Spanish market for locks. The company employs a staff of 83 people and realized a turnover of 9,2 M€ in 2014 of which 75 % are achieved in the domestic market. They are exporting in about 15 countries in Europe, Latin America and in Asia.
Thanks to a very strong industrial know-how and the ability to develop outstanding products, MCM is designing, producing and selling:

• Rim and mortise cylinders for buildings, mono and multipoint, for wooden doors, plated doors and for aluminium frame. The product range is very much adapted to the Spanish market.
• European and oval profile cylinders in a lower and medium price range
• Mechanical master key systems
• Electronic cylinders for hotel industry and access control systems 

By this acquisition DOM Security is strengthening its presence on the Iberian Peninsula initiated in 2011 with the acquisition of the company UCEM in Mondragon and will become the second player in the local market for locks.
