Responsible about compliance with the accessibility Standard, you have the challenge of undertaking work to bring your public-access buildings into compliance so that people with reduced mobility can access your buildings easily. We offer you two compliant locks: the Centr'axe mortise lock and the 9948 PMR rim lock. Thanks to a standard-length handle, those two locks fully comply with the legislation:

Centr'axe mortise range

  • 1-point or 3-point.
  • 300 or 465mm backset.
  • Standard version or A2P* certified (only on 3-point models).

Rim 9948 PMR range

  • 3-point
  • 300mm backset
  • Standard version or A2P* certified

Following the law of February 11, 2005, all public-access buildings and residential buildings must have an access to allow any person whatever his type of disability to move freely.

The operations to work a door must be accessible in a standing position, in a seated position and also for people who have difficulty in gripping or in making a rotational movement of the wrist.

2 technical aspects requiring compliance:

  • Having an extremity located more than 400mm from an internal angle, from walls or from any other obstacle to an approaching wheelchair.
  • Having the axes of the handle AND of the cylinder located more than 300mm from an internal angle, from walls or from any other obstacle to an approaching wheelchair, only for residential buildings.
