The permanently closed card can be used to set a terminal device to the so-called "permanently closed mode" and back to the neutral initial situation. In this mode the end device does not engage and no one, whether authorised or not, can operate the end device and open the door until the permanently closed card is shown again. This is done, for example, if no one, whether authorised or not, is to enter a building while the alarm system is armed.
