Urban Spaces Stuttgart is an all-in-one office space located in the heart of Stuttgart. This building encompasses different functions in one big space: office spaces, co-working spaces, meeting spaces, event spaces, as well as conference area.
The story of Urban Spaces is a story of a family business, the Schuck family. They decided to tear down an old building and create a new life into it by transforming the building into a shared business space. This effort paid off: shortly after the opening of the office, Urban Spaces received the International Frame Awards under the Co-working Space of the Year category.
For this project, DOM Germany entered the scene through their dealer, MBB Hensch & Spindler GmbH.
Urban Spaces wanted to have a compatible digital locking system that they can match with their existing booking software. Knowing this was what they needed, MBB Hensch & Spindler quickly suggested DOM Tapkey as the perfect cylinder for their office.
DOM Tapkey is a cloud-based access control solution where you can open doors with your smartphone or a transponder and manage the access from the distance. When used in a co-working space environment, co-working space manager can grant flexibility to their tenants and employees with key fobs or OTA (Over The Air) mobile keys.
Moreover, Tapkey app is a cloud-based solution, making it adaptable to different booking and management software in the market. With this integration, responsible staff can overlook their access from the same software they currently use.
Another reason why Urban Spaces Stuttgart wanted to have DOM Tapkey installed in their offices is because of the plug and play system that makes everything so easy to be set up. Because of this feature, Urban Spaces installed all of their access points with DOM Tapkey, from main doors, individual offices, meeting rooms, and working laboratories on the 1st and 2nd floor.
Planning to installation took approximately 6 months.
