Operating Manuals

General

Please read "Manual of Signalisation" document to know the different signals of your device.

You will be able to distinguish between the products by presenting the transponder to the devices. If the device responds, it is of the same type and frequency.

Note: You will need to uncouple the device before performing this operation.

When you show an ENiQ transponder to the device, V1 and V2 will signal as follows:

1. ENiQ Pro V2 (BLE): green - light blue - green - light blue.

2. ENiQ Pro V1 (RF): dark blue - dark blue - dark blue.

Emergency Exit (EE) indicates that the cylinder contains a spring that resets the lock to 0 degrees so that the lock won't block an exit. This cylinder is most commonly used on doors with push bars in compliance with DIN EN 179 and 1125.

Installation

Please note that you need to uncouple the device before replacing.
Please see "How can I reset the product with a Mastercard" section.

Once the device is reset, perform the following steps:
1. Remove the knob cap using the knob tool and unlock the knob.
2. Carefully pull off the knob cap by supporting 2 fingers against the door leaf so it won't have too much momentum while removing it.
3. Remove the old battery by pushing it out with the back of the knob tool.
4. Disconnect the battery connector.
5. Remove the retaining forks by pushing it out carefully from the opposite side of the battery compartment.
6. Remove the device without force.

1. Use the 'knob tool' to unlock the knob and remove the knob cap.
2. Carefully pull off the knob cap, using 2 fingers to support the door leaf so that it won't have too much momentum when you remove it.
3. Using the back of the knob tool, push out the old battery.
4. Disconnect the battery connector.
5. Release the battery from the clips by carefully pushing it out from the opposite side of the battery compartment.
6. Remove the battery without force.

Note: If you want to replace the unit body, reset the unit while it is mounted (see: Resetting with the master card).

To reassemble the unit, follow the above steps in reverse order.

Maintenance

To perform this action, you need ENiQ App on an Android phone. Update the firmware by following the steps in the app.

Set the device to inactive (using the 'Status' settings under the 'General' tab). Enter the new serial number for the new ELS Pro. Confirm the change and the software will automatically detect the new cylinder.

Programming methods vary depending on which device you use. Please contact your dealer for personalised programming or more information.

Operating

It depends on your smartphone and your surroundings. As a rule of thumb, the reliable benchmark for minimum distance is 10 meters.

1. Dismantle the knob cap.

2. Unplug the battery.

3. Place your master card in front of the cylinder.

4. Insert the battery and wait until the cylinder light flashes red and green.

5. Remove the battery.

6. Remove the cylinder from the master card.

7. Insert battery again. The cylinder will flash dark blue light when a transponder is present.

1. Show the master card to the cylinder three times. When you show it the third time, leave the master card in the cylinder's reading field.

2. Wait 8 to 10 seconds, then wait for the flashing LED.

3. Remove the master card from the cylinder. The cylinder will now flash blue when a transponder is present.

Please note that you will need to uncouple the device before replacing it.
Please see the ""How do I reset the product with a master card"" section.

Once the device is reset, follow the steps below:
You can now replace the ELS with the ENiQ button.

Normally, a cylinder will detect a battery change automatically. If this is not the case, use a "Change of Battery" indicator card. This card will reset the corresponding battery parameter in the cylinder and will be documented as an event. In principle, a battery change card has to be authorised on a device in the same way as a normal transponder authorisation.

If the light is blue/turquoise, it means that the unit has entered into the safety circuit. Here are some possible causes:

1. When the master card was installed, the devices were not connected to the coupling shaft. This results in information exchange failure.

2. The battery was not removed when the devices were dismantled. This will cause the unit to lose its connection to the safety circuit and it will be interpreted as a tampering attempt.

To reset the unit, it must be returned to the factory. Please contact your dealer for further information.

Troubleshooting

If your smartphone cannot open your cylinder, it may be for the following reasons:

1. Low battery: Please replace the battery with a new one (refer to the manual to see which battery is recommended for your product).

2. Damaged antenna: Remove the knob cap to check if you can see any mechanical damage to the antenna (front circuit board).

3. If points 1 and 2 are working well and the cylinder is responding to a tag, please check your smartphone settings or restart your phone.

If your tags cannot open your cylinder, it may be for the following reasons:

1. Low battery: Please replace the battery with a new one (refer to the manual to see which battery is recommended for your product).

2. Damaged antenna: Remove the knob cap to check if you can see any mechanical damage to the antenna (front circuit board).

3. If points 1 and 2 are working well and the cylinder is still not responding to a tag, please contact your dealer for further investigation.
